Radiotherapy & Brachytherapy (Navid Department)

About the Department

This department is equipped with three Varian linear accelerators (USA), among the company's latest products: 1) Varian TrueBeam, 2) Varian VitalBeam and 3) Varian Halcyon. The department also has a dedicated GE Discovery CT simulator with an 80 cm bore, an HDR brachytherapy unit from BEBIG (Germany) and the Eclipse version 18 treatment planning system.

Services Provided to Patients

The services in this department fall into two parts: 1) External beam radiotherapy, delivered with linear accelerators using advanced techniques including IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT and 3D conformal radiotherapy; 2) Brachytherapy, performed with various intracavitary, needle implant and mould techniques for different parts of the body.
